The Saints Legend that is Nick Holmes, received his Saints Archive Hall of Fame Award today, after his award made the long journey to Florida, delivered by Nick’s grandson, Jacob.

Nick conveyed this message to Archive members…

“It is always great still to be recognized for something I did 30-40 years ago. My thanks to all Archive members for their long memories!! Southampton FC is still everything to me, and although I’m 3000 miles away I see every game. Good luck to everyone. Best wishes – Nick Holmes.”

Congratulations to my hero Nick Holmes in his accomplishment inducted into Hall of fame. Amazing how life takes us many miles to succeed in happiness.

I had a lunch date with Nick 50 yrs ago while working with Customs & excise in Southampton. A girls dream come true. 🥰 I will never forget, I had to pinch myself to feel that this was happening. 🤣

Such a young shy gentleman and caring natured person.

After leaving U.k., I came to Canada in the eighties and continued to peruse football coaching and convening 900 kids in football in our small town Wallaceburg, Ontario Canada.🇨🇦
