The Saints Archive, a Facebook group dedicated to posting video clips and pictures of Southampton FC from the past, has marked its sixth anniversary this month. The group, which was created on January 27, 2018, has grown to nearly 9000 members, including around 100 former Southampton FC players who regularly interact with the fans.

I started the started the group as a way of preserving and sharing the history of our beloved club. “I’ve always been fascinated by the history of Southampton FC, and I wanted to create a place where fans could enjoy the memories and nostalgia of the Saints. Nothing current season, just archive”.

The group has amassed thousands of photos and videos from various sources, such as TV, newspapers, and supporters’ own collections. The group also has a website, a podcast, and a merchandise shop. I am so grateful for the support and contributions of our members, especially the former players who have joined the group and shared their stories and insights.

“It’s amazing to have so many legends of the club as part of the group. They are very generous with their time and knowledge, and they really appreciate the fans’ passion and interest. It’s a great community of Saints supporters, and I’m proud to be a part of it”.

I remain commited to the Saints Archive and it’s mission of celebrating the heritage and legacy of Southampton FC, and I hope to attract more members and former players in the future.

“There’s always more to discover and learn about the Saints. The archive is never complete, and that’s the beauty of it,”
