It is with very great sadness that Saints Archive acknowleges the passing of Chris Nicholl, one of the great servants of our club. He was a great and swashbuckling defender, with international honours, and later a Southampton manager who always advocated attractive football. Those supporters around during his era will have many good and treasured. This site has waited to pay our tribute to Chris at the request of his family and friends, some of whom are Archive members and ask for your understanding. We also send them our sincere condolences. A truly great Saint who left quite a legacy and will never be forgotten.
