Saints Archive has for the last few years chosen, with support of its members, inductees to its own ‘Hall of Fame’. This year we presented for the first time an actual trophy to a former player and manager, Chris Nicholl and this got us thinking. The 11 previous inductees could get one from us supporters as well. I chatted with ex-saint Nicky Banger at Chris’s award night and he made it clear that an award from a supporter means ALOT more than anything from the club……because its from the supporter, its meant, its from a position of respect. (Pledge Here)
I’ll be honest, I have bank rolled a few things for Saints Archive but this venture is out of my budget by some margin. (Pledge Here)
So, this is the pitch. We raise £300, anyone who commits gets their name in the letter to all 11 previous Hall of Fame players from Le Tiss to Terry Paine as contributors to their award.
The Archive will present these awards at the The Painted Wagon Southampton on dates we can arrange with the player, we will also make sure all posthumous awards are presented to the families with the same respect and love.
And on awards night, you are all invited. No tickets, no need to pay to enter. Just turn up. Wear red and white and celebrate a Saint.
If we raise more than we need this will go 50/50 to Saints Foundation and the Saints Disabled Supporters Association (SDSA).
